Fallout from the crematorium investigation in Seabrook continues

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. (AP) — Fallout from the crematorium investigation in Seabrook continues, with a Maine man trying to prevent the state from burying four urns of unidentified remains. Mike Ellis of Unity, Maine, believes the remains of his wife may be in the urns. He says Dawn Ellis was cremated at Bayview Crematory, and he believes the ashes he was given were not hers.

Ellis went to an expert on identifying severely damaged remains and learned the ashes he re-ceived included false teeth, earrings, surgical screw and staples, none of which belonged to his wife.

He hopes the state will hold off on plans to bury the unidentified ashes until they can be tested.
