Former crematorium employee wants to take back guilty plea May 9, 2006 Associated Press BRENTWOOD, N.H. --A former employee of an unlicensed crematorium where unidentified remains were found wants to take back his guilty plea to fraudulent handling of records and abusing a corpse, saying he wants to go to trial. James Fuller of Seabrook had handled some of the cremations at the Bayview Crematory. He was expected to be sentenced this week. Last year, he was accused last year of falsifying medical a examiner's form that approves a cremation and other documents, in addition to abuse of a corpse. "The impact on my life by the plea agreement is too much for me to accept. I want my chance in court to prove my innocence," Fuller said in a handwritten motion. Bayview's former owner, Derek Wallace, of Salisbury, Mass., is expected to go on trial next week. He faces numerous charges of theft by deception, meaning he accepted money for cremations he knew would be done illegally. He also faces charges of mishandling a corpse, for allegedly allowing cremations to take place without first getting certificates from a New Hampshire medical examiner, a legal requirement.
