Vandals expose Schumacher coffin PDF Print E-mail

Whoever dug up the grave of Michael and Ralf Schumacher's mother have 'no respect for anything.' Speaker 29-year-old Ralf, younger brother of seven time world champion Michael, was perhaps closest to mother Elisabeth, who died last year aged 55. She is buried in Kerpen, the Schumachers' home town near Cologne (Germany). Police said vandals exposed Schumacher's coffin by using a shovel, but did not attempt to open it.

Britain's 'The Sun' tabloid newspaper reported that a marble headstone was also kicked over and 'an iron cross memorial was stolen.' "It's unbelievable that there are people out there capable of doing something like this," said Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher.
