FREDERICK, Md. -- It's a case of curiosity getting the better of a Frederick woman who was arrested at the scene of last week's grave robbery. Tina Blaik, 34, said she only wanted to do some research and take pictures when police said she broke into a crypt at Mount Olivet Cemetery Sunday afternoon.

Blaik said she had heard about the theft of two skulls from the same crypt last week and wanted to learn more about it for a book she's writing. She said she meant no harm and had nothing to do with the theft.

Blaik erased her digital pictures at the request of a cemetery official, and was booked by police on charges of fourth-degree burglary and disorderly conduct. She also was charged with possession of marijuana and paraphernalia after police said a search of her car turned up a pipe containing marijuana residue.
