A week after Paul Schlimme asked Montgomery County Court to halt the removal and relocation of his dead relatives from the cemetery at the Montgomery Square United Methodist Church because he did not like where they would be reburied, the parties have reached an agreement. Montgomery Square's attorney, Jeffrey Karver, said his client and Schlimme "came to an agreement everybody is happy with."

However, Karver said the church's board of trustees still needs to approve the agreement. Karver expects the board of trustees to vote in a week or two.

Though the issue was discussed in court Tuesday, Karver would not provide any information about the agreement.

Schlimme and his attorney, Michael Eisenberg, did not return phone calls seeking comment Tuesday.

The church is moving and relocating the cemetery because it feels the commercial development and the noise and traffic that comes with it has hurt the congregation's growth. The church has arranged to move the 290 bodies, including the remains of 30 of Schlimme's relatives, to Beulah Cemetery in New Britain Township.
