Corpse with False Passport Stays 16 Days at Airport Sun May 2, 2004 Yahoo news CAIRO (Reuters) - A corpse with a false passport spent 16 days at Cairo airport before Egyptian authorities agreed to release it for burial on Friday, airport sources said. The authorities checked the corpse's fingerprints and then formed a committee to ponder the case, they said. The coffin had arrived in Cairo from Syria but the airport refused to release it when the dead man's son gave a name different from that on the passport. The man, 55-year-old Mohamed Abduh, had obtained a passport in the name of his brother Ibrahim, the sources said.
