Purcell, OK -- An early morning drug raid at a Purcell funeral home landed the funeral director and five others in jail. The McClain County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by the Purcell Police Department and district attorney investigators, executed a search warrant at Yoakum Funeral Home.

Funeral home director Mike Damet, 50, Purcell residents, Karen Skinner, 46, Robert Parton, 37, Beth Ann Adams, 46, and Nisha Parker, 32, were arrested, along with Lexington resident Deborah Johnson, 40.

The six were arrested on complaints of possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS) with the intent to distribute and possession of CDS within a 1,000 feet of a school, CDS in the presence of a minor child.
Other complaints included possession of a firearm in the commission of a felony, possession of a police scanner in the commission of a felony and maintaining a dwelling where CDS is kept.

Law enforcement expected the search to last well into today (Tuesday).
Officials did say a quantity of a green leafy substance, believed to be marijuana, and a white powdery substance, believed to be methamphetamine, were located throughout the residence and funeral home.
