A Taphophilia Thank You...

Taphophilia (dot) Com would not be possible without the knowledge, experience and talent of DarkestWeb. From
its conception and early development, DarkestWeb
was faced with many challenges; from inspiring and motivating, to providing guidance and direction. The continued dedication and support has produced results greater than ever expected, and for this, I owe a huge debt of gratitude.

Teacher Apologizes for Morbid Assignment PDF Print E-mail

ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP)

A Missouri high school teacher has apologized for asking students to write about who they would kill and how they would do it. He says it was a horrible mistake he regrets.

Michael Maxwell says the request to describe how students would carry out a murder was merely a writing exercise. Maxwell teaches a beginning drafting class and it's not clear why he asked the class to write fiction.

School officials in St. Joseph say the teacher will likely keep his job. Administrators found out about the writing request when a parent filed a complaint with the principal. A school district spokesman isn't commenting on possible disciplinary measures, but says the incident probably isn't serious enough to cost Maxwell his job.

It is foolish and wrong to mourn the men who died. Rather we should thank God that such men lived.
