Non-Profit Funeral Services

We are here for you

I still remember coming home from being out with friends that night when I was 18. The lights were out, the house was perfectly still. My father was sitting at the foot of my mothers hospice bed. I didn't know he was there until he rose to greet me, a blanket around his sunken shoulders. I sensed immediately something was wrong. He put his gentle hand on my shoulder and gave me a sad smile. I knew.

"Josh, She's Gone."

I only wish I had more time, a last real conversation, something; anything! It was all so fast, we barely had time to react. We just tried to make sure she was comfortable.

I remember next to nothing of my mothers wake, except that I was late because a part of me really didn't want to go. At the time it made sense, but now I wish had something to look back on. The entire experience was rejected from my concious memory. In the years after, I would sorely miss those memories and the sense of closure they would have provided.

I understand how difficult and shocking a situation can be. Even when you see it coming - and especially when you don't. This is why I have decided to form the berevement branch of my photography business, Eternal Touch Studios, so that others will not miss out on this highly important portion of the grieving process. Even if you can't bring yourself to look at the photographs or albums for years to come, you will not miss out on these important moments when you are ready. I know it took me at least a year to be ready to process those moments that I wish I had captured in images. There's no right or wrong way to grieve and to remember the lives that have been a part of ours, no matter how long they were with us.

The moments that make up a life include all kinds of ceremonies with the attached emotions and each deserves the respect of their importance. When I capture those moments of the last goodbyes, they may include the tears and the smiles, if you choose. They will include the truth of the event captured in a very decreet and reverant manner. I know how important they are only because I don't have them. Let me capture them for you.

My attendance is only at your invitation. My fees are a private discussion between us and will always fit int he budget of those that truely value my services. We will additionally discuss the images that you would most prize of the ceremony, the participants and the one you love, and may include family groups. I will introduce myself to and coordinate my services with the chaplain, priest or service guide or photograph as desired by you and your family, again, blending into the shadows in a discreet and professional manner.

Prints, slideshows, albums and pressbooks will be available for your family and distant relatives, including those who may not have been able attend, to purchase from a private, secure and password coded online gallery for a month after they are posted.

If this is a service you desire, please call so we can privately discuss how I can best serve you.

My Blessings,
