Welcome to The Thanatos Archive
The Thanatos Archive, located in Seattle, Washington, houses an
extensive collection of vintage postmortem and mourning photos, many of which date back to the mid-1800s.
This digital archive, hosted at Thanatos.net since 2002, offers
our members a fantastic gallery of more than 700 vintage
postmortem images. In addition, members receive access to three
additional galleries: Death Masks, Vintage Medical Images, and
Mourning/Memorial Images. New scans are added to the archive on
a regular basis as they are acquired and donated.
In addition to the digital archives, this domain hosts a free
postmortem discussion forum, an active and valuable community.
