A Taphophilia Thank You...

Taphophilia (dot) Com would not be possible without the knowledge, experience and talent of DarkestWeb. From
its conception and early development, DarkestWeb
was faced with many challenges; from inspiring and motivating, to providing guidance and direction. The continued dedication and support has produced results greater than ever expected, and for this, I owe a huge debt of gratitude.

British university offers death course PDF Print E-mail

London, Mar 12: Students with a taste for the macabre can now earn a post-graduate degree devoted to death, thanks to a university in the west of England. Bath University, home to Britain`s only research centre devoted to the study of death, says its Masters programme in Death and Society is aimed at "greater understanding of death in its social and cultural context". Glennys Howarth, who is overseeing the programme, said it would appeal to "a broad range of people" from health care professionals to those planning a career in the funeral industry.

"Since the 1990s, the UK research community has been at the forefront of research in this area, and now produces some of the best research on the social aspects of mortality," she said.

"The people who graduate from the M.Sc. (Master of Science) in death and society will be well placed to continue this tradition, or bring new levels of understanding to workplaces where death is a common feature."

Classes begin in October.
