The crematory building at the Tri-State Crematory at Noble, Ga., has been knocked down and the site is being returned to its natural state, attorneys said Monday. Attorney Stuart James of Chattanooga said, "The majority of the demolition work in accordance with the settlement of the parties in the class action pending in Rome, Ga., Bechtel v. Brent Marsh, et al is completed. The parties are working on finishing the final legal work for the settlement."

The site just north of LaFayette is where 339 uncremated bodies were found at the property of the Marsh family. It resulted in felony charges against crematory operator Brent Marsh as well as a plethora of lawsuits in numerous courts and states.

Attorney James said, "On behalf of Mrs. Clara Marsh, we are releasing this photograph of the property where the crematory/retort building once stood. The property is being returned to a natural state in accordance with the Settlement Agreement.

"Although there is no public right of access on the property by any individual, Mrs. Marsh authorized the release of this photograph praying that the completion of the demolition will bring closure to all individuals involved in the Tri State Crematory litigation.

"Mrs. Marsh keeps all family members in her prayers, and she prays that everyone involved in this litigation can find peace and comfort, keeping God and Jesus in their hearts."
