A Taphophilia Thank You...

Taphophilia (dot) Com would not be possible without the knowledge, experience and talent of DarkestWeb. From
its conception and early development, DarkestWeb
was faced with many challenges; from inspiring and motivating, to providing guidance and direction. The continued dedication and support has produced results greater than ever expected, and for this, I owe a huge debt of gratitude.

Panel will oversee repairs at Menorah Gardens PDF Print E-mail

Aside from a $100 million settlement announced Tuesday night, families suing Menorah Gardens won the right this week to have a blue ribbon panel created that will oversee the cemetery's repair.

The panel, which will include rabbis, lay people and lawyers, will prepare the cemetery for a religious process called resanctification -- involving inspection, prayer and fasting.

Plaintiff's attorneys Neil Hirschfeld and Ervin Gonzalez said they insisted on the panel so they could assure thousands of families whose loved-ones were buried in two Broward and Palm Beach county cemeteries that everything possible would be done to correct mis-buried remains and desecrated graves.

Menorah Gardens spokesman Don Mathis said he welcomes the panel. But, he said owners Service Corporation International have been correcting problems since they were first revealed in lawsuits two years ago.
