Paramedics Cleared For Returning Corpse To Apartment

Man's Daughter Waited For Him At Hospital October 22, 2004 SAN MARCOS, Calif. -- Paramedics followed proper procedure when they climbed through an apartment window with the body of a man who died en route to the hospital, medical and law enforcement officials said. Kenneth Collet died Oct. 6 when his heart stopped while paramedics rushed him to the hospital. Since no autopsy was required, the San Diego County Medical Examiner told paramedics to leave the 58-year-old man's body in his San Marcos apartment. Collet's daughter, Natalie Collet, 36, had locked the apartment as she left to meet the ambulance at the hospital. While she waited, paramedics entered through the window and left her father's body on the living room floor of his apartment. Paramedics said the window was unlocked, but Natalie Collet claimed they broke into the apartment to leave the body. http://www.nbcsandiego.com/news/3843703/detail.html
