A Taphophilia Thank You...

Taphophilia (dot) Com would not be possible without the knowledge, experience and talent of DarkestWeb. From
its conception and early development, DarkestWeb
was faced with many challenges; from inspiring and motivating, to providing guidance and direction. The continued dedication and support has produced results greater than ever expected, and for this, I owe a huge debt of gratitude.

DAVENPORT, IA - City workers have trapped and killed nearly two dozen groundhogs that have been causing damage to the city's historic City Cemetery. The problem surfaced over the Fourth of July weekend when a visitor to the cemetery found human bone fragments on a mound of dirt next to a groundhog hole, officials said Since then, workers with the city's parks department have trapped and killed 23 of the animals, filled in the tunnels and planted grass seed.

"We will have to continue our vigilance, and when we see them return, we'll have to get on it immediately," said Dan Sherman, city parks director. "They can proliferate rapidly."

City Cemetery contains the graves of about 6,000 people, including many German immigrants, about 200 Civil War veterans and an unknown number of people who died during epidemics.
