Flagstaff man charged with stealing flowers at funeral PDF Print E-mail

Arizona - Police say they don't know why Christopher Billie wanted flowers so badly. Flagstaff Police say its one for the books. They've handled countless burglary cases, but not one like this. Last week, Christopher Billie allegedly climbed inside a hearse to steal flower arrangements. It happened during a funeral service. The mortician apparently saw what was going on, caught up with Billie and held him down until police arrived.

Officers don't think the incident was funny and say it could've been a traumatic experience for the grieving family. Investigators don't believe friends and family members knew what was happening outside.

Billie is being held at the Coconino County jail on one felony count of auto burglary. Police say he has a history of alcohol-related offenses.

Have you decided on eternal repose?

To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream:
Ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come.

William Shakespeare

Grave Epigrams

'Tis but a few whose days amount
To threescore years and ten
And all beyond that short account
Is sorrow toil, and pain.
