Police Say Three Juvenile Cousins Responsible For Cemetery Vandalism PDF Print E-mail

Junction City, KY -- Police say three juvenile cousins, ages 10, 11 and 13, are responsible for the vandalism earlier this month at the Junction City Cemetery in Boyle County that left as many as 150 headstones overturned or damaged.

Two of the suspects, all boys, live in Junction City, and the third was visiting from Florida. Police say the trio snuck out of a house at 2 a.m. on July 12 and vandalized the cemetery, which is city-owned, borders US 127 and is lit by street lights.

According to Junction City police, two of the juveniles confessed Wednesday.

Police say several tips and a matching footprint linked the juveniles to the crime. All three are expected to be formally charged by Monday.
